Silica Free Stone is made using the latest technology to combine Amorphous Silica with unsaturated polymer resin. It is a stable formula. This makes the product strong and able to withstand outside forces. During production, we add couplings and other materials to make it flexible and less likely to break easily. Our Calacatta Statuario slab comes in different sizes and thicknesses to fit different needs.
Amorphous Silica has a stable molecular structure which is much less hazardous to human lungs than Crystalline Silica. The material is commonly found in glass, which helps erase any concerns arising from recent regulatory decisions regarding engineered stone.
Ordinary users can rest assured that Silica Free Benchtops are entirely safe for home use and do no harm to people who cut, polish, fabricate, or install them.
